My Bucket List of TO DO's:
Go to Vigan - Checked! (December 8 - 9, 2012)

| The infamous cobble street of Calle Crisologo |
I have always wanted to explore Northern Luzon; and Vigan was at the top of my list. Until that day when someone put up with my inkling to go Norte!!!
I have some old soul hidden underneath me and I have always been amazed with old houses, antiques, cobble streets and wooden furniture. And Vigan certainly gave me all that.

| I hope they get to preserve this old stuffs more efficiently so the future generation could still get a feel of the old era. |
We toured the small town riding a Calesa (beat that! hahaha.) and I it felt very "tourist". Visited and climb up a bell tower, went Museum hopping (which are actually old family houses turned museum), visted the animals of Baluarte, visited Pagburnayan where they make their famous pots and jars, explored the new Hidden Garden and of course tried local delicacies which is the best part! =D

Since Tropical Storm BOPHA (Pablo in the Philippines) was in the countries area of responsibility during our trip PAGASA declared signal#1 on our first day and then signal#2 by night time. But who could stop 2 highly favored children of God from going lamierda? No rain every time we go out! The rain poured down when we were sleeping that night and stopped when we needed to go out on our last day to buy pasalubong and see the town on foot. Amazing right?! Well...
"Lalabas ang Dyosa kaya ulan tumigil ka!" hahaha.
And then here comes the food... Fine and Superb food!!!

I suggest Irene's if you really want to taste a yummy Vigan Empanada. You can find it along Calle Crisologo.

I am a beach lover cause that's my happy place but going to Vigan (I tell you, don't expect a beach unless you plan to go all the way to Laoag or go back to La Union) was a new experience for me. Just walking around and taking the scenery (and FOOD!) in was actually fun.
I wouldn't say no on going back.
Almost 10 hours of bus ride??? BRING IT ON!
Vigan is a must to visit. It's like getting lost on a different era. And for a Cebuana/Manila Girl like me, a different treat for my taste buds. <3
P.S Photo's
Till we meet again...
PSS: Believe it or not, I merely spent 3,500 php for the whole trip! Isn't that amazing?! <3
